Great opportunity: we are hiring a steam press operator in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Your main tasks: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Give each garment a final press before packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number Pay around $2,700 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
