Gang bricklayer • Randolph County, Illinois

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Randolph County, Illinois. You will be based on a commercial construction site. The role involves: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Full-time with occasional weekends.
