Commercial tyre fitter — Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region

Great opportunity: we are hiring a commercial tyre fitter in Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based at a busy tyre bay. Ideal candidate: • A good eye for tread wear and sidewall damage • Punctual and willing to work weekends • Basic record-keeping and customer-facing skills Day-to-day duties: • Repair punctures with mushroom plugs and internal patches • Keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres • Demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine • Log fitments and advise customers on tyre wear and replacement • Torque the wheel nuts to spec with a torque wrench Rotating shifts.
