Gas metal arc welder wanted in Panola County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Panola County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day to day you will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
