Earthmoving equipment operator wanted in City of Suffolk

Vacancy available: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in City of Suffolk, Virginia. The job is on a dam or embankment job. You should have: • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections On a typical shift you will carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
