Foundry labourer wanted in Carroll County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Carroll County, Illinois. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
