Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Hillsdale County, Michigan. What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Your main tasks: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
