Argon welding operator — Talbot County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Talbot County, Georgia. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
