Sample machinist — Clay County

Join our team: we are hiring a sample machinist in Clay County, Iowa. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. The role involves inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
