Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Jackson County, Alabama. You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day to day you will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover.
