The role involves grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; read and interpret the load chart before every lift.
