Solar installation technician • Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, Wales

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a solar installation technician in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, Wales. The job is at a ground-mount solar farm. Day to day you will install PV modules and torque bolts to manufacturer spec; fit roof anchors, flashings and waterproof penetrations; carry out periodic inspection and fault-finding on existing arrays; install string inverters, optimisers and rapid shutdown devices; run DC cabling from panels to combiner boxes and string inverters; mount and wire battery storage units and charge controllers. Requirements: • Driving licence for travel between installation sites • Basic electrical knowledge of DC and AC systems Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around £120 per day, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
