Moulder — Cherokee County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a moulder in Cherokee County, South Carolina. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture.
