Site safety steward • Central Bedfordshire, England

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site safety steward in Central Bedfordshire, England. The job is at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate The role involves update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points.
