You will pull a vacuum on the system with a vacuum pump and micron gauge; install and set up the hot water cylinder and immersion backup; weigh in and charge the correct refrigerant gas per manufacturer spec; connect flow and return pipework to the buffer tank or cylinder; braze copper refrigerant lines using oxy-acetylene or nitrogen purge. You should have: • Knowledge of heat loss calculations and system sizing • Own set of refrigerant tools: gauges, vacuum pump, scales • G3 unvented cylinder qualification an advantage Rotating shifts.
