Great opportunity: we are hiring a retail butcher in Langlade County, Wisconsin. The job is in a meat processing plant. You will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day 6+ years on the tools preferred.
