Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Pike County, Kentucky. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Your main tasks: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence Part-time with flexible hours. $120 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
