Great opportunity: we are hiring a production welder in Borough of Tameside, England. The job is at a busy production line. On a typical shift you will change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
