Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Val Verde County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
