Great opportunity: tower crane operator (North Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tower crane operator in McDowell County, North Carolina. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • A good head for heights for tower crane work The role involves carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone.
