Concrete worker — Colbert County

Join our team: we are hiring a concrete worker in Colbert County, Alabama. On a typical shift you will compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing. You should have: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
