We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Borough of Tameside, England. Your main tasks: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
