Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces On a typical shift you will run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates.
