Day to day you will fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components. Requirements: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges Rotating shifts.
