Immediate opening: offshore rigger (Indiana)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Union County, Indiana. You will work at a shipyard. You should have: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles On the job you will handle: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Rotating shifts.
