Site safety steward wanted in City and Borough of Wakefield

We are recruiting: we are hiring a site safety steward in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will work at a manufacturing plant. Day-to-day duties: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height You should have: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Full-time, day shift.
