Ladle pourer wanted in City of Hopewell

Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in City of Hopewell, Virginia. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. The role involves operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
