Now hiring: we are hiring a glazing installer in City of Buena Vista, Virginia. You will be based in a shopfront glazing company. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools an advantage • Aware of safe glass handling and PPE such as cut-resistant gloves • Confident handling and lifting heavy glass panes Day-to-day duties: • Handle large panes using suction cups and a lifting frame • Grind and polish cut edges to take off the sharp arris • Cut glass to size using a glass cutter and running pliers • Apply putty, silicone and glazing tape to bed the glass • Work safely at height on scaffolds and ladders • Glaze shopfronts, curtain walls and glass partitions On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
