Vacancy available: single needle operator (Iowa)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a single needle operator in Audubon County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy garment factory. The role involves sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line 6+ years on the tools preferred.
