Fettler — Breathitt County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Breathitt County, Kentucky. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day to day you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
