Vacancy available: digger driver (Scotland)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a digger driver in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. You will be based at a drainage and utilities contractor. On the job you will handle: • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter Requirements: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site £1,750 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
