Immediate opening: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in City of Petersburg, Virginia. The role involves fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure. Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Understanding of hand and radio signals At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
