Immediate opening: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Summit County, Colorado. You will setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
