Join our team: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Skagway Municipality, Alaska. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T The role involves carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts.
