Now hiring: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Jasper County, Missouri. You will work at an automobile body shop. On a typical shift you will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
