Foundry operative wanted in Cambridgeshire

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Cambridgeshire, England. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On a typical shift you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Part-time with flexible hours.
