Immediate opening: we are hiring a baker in Granville County, North Carolina. On a typical shift you will rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards. Requirements: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks Six days a week, one day off. $4,250 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
