Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Borough of Halton, England. You will be based at a container port. Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day to day you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
