Gas commissioning technician — Kankakee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in Kankakee County, Illinois. You will work on commercial and industrial sites. On the job you will handle: • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply Ideal candidate: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Able to read isometric and site drawings Part-time with flexible hours.
