Gtaw welder — Hood County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Hood County, Texas. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings You will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper.
