Brick and block layer — Clinch County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Clinch County, Georgia. The role involves spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
