Horticulturist wanted in Bristol Bay Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horticulturist in Bristol Bay Borough, Alaska. You will work in a botanical garden. Your main tasks: • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe Requirements: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Happy to work outdoors in all weather 4+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
