Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements The role involves: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover Part-time with flexible hours.
