The role involves: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
