Great opportunity: groundsman (Vermont)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a groundsman in Washington County, Vermont. You will work on a golf course. Your main tasks: • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers You should have: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Valid driving licence for travel between sites Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
