Horticulturist — City and County of Swansea

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horticulturist in City and County of Swansea, Wales. What we are looking for: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors The role involves maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
