Argon arc welder — Floyd County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Floyd County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination 6+ years on the tools preferred.
