Immediate opening: we are hiring a hand presser in Clallam County, Washington. The job is in a garment export house. The role involves: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Pay around $3,100 per month, based on your experience.
