Vacancy available: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Clearwater County, Minnesota. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers The role involves: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts Rotating shifts. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
