Laundry presser — Covington County

Join our team: we are hiring a laundry presser in Covington County, Mississippi. You will be based at a garment factory. Requirements: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Day to day you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
